Royal Saudi Air Force Signs up with DTM Global

Devon software company DTM Global ha taken one step closer towards expansion after being awarded a training and simulation contract by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defence.

The deal is the latest in a series of successful contract wins for DTM Global, with the New Zealand Navy, German and US Air Forces, and UK Royal Marines also coming onboard earlier this year.  The company, in alliance with Saudi Arabian Partner Rahaden Trading, will supply the Electronic warfare training solution DEWET to the Royal Saudi Air Force using state-of-the-art 3D threat environment simulation.

DTM Global, based in Totnes, supplies off-the-shelf and bespoke simulation, training and cutting edge real-time 3D visualisation software products such as Fleetman and Insight, as well as fully integrated 'turnkey' simulation solutions to clients across the world.

Fleetman enables the running of simulation exercises using a mix of ships, submarines, helicopters and aircraft and has been in service with the UK Royal Navy Maritime Warfare Schools and waterfront learning centres since 2004.  Insight is an innovative product aimed at reducing the risk of 'friendly fire' in battle, which is already in use by the US Air Force.

Chris Notman-Smith, International Sales & Marketing Manager for DTM Global, said: "We are delighted and excited to have won such a prestigious contract, in partnership with Rahaden Trading Est, and we look forward to working very closely with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defence and meeting its requirements."

RAHADEN TRADING provides technical training products and services including 3D simulation, radar, weapon training.  Mahmoud A. Al Hefdhi, General Manager of Rahaden Trading, said:  "We are pleased to be a partner with DTM Global in this project and appreciate their cooperation and support in this regard.

"DEWET project in RSAF is the continuity of trust of Saudi MODA upon us.  This trust is built by Rahaden's 17 years of effort in implementing sophisticated, unique and innovative technology projects in Saudi MODA.

"Our vision for the company is to "Be the best, most innovative, diversified cooperative."  To achieve this vision, our company mission is to build successful, profitable partnerships with our patrons."
